Collaborating to find a cure for BPD

Multidisciplinary Teams Dedicated to Optimizing Outcomes of Infants & Children With Severe BPD

Welcome to The BPD Collaborative

On the website, you will find information about BPD, the centers
involved, current projects, and contact information. Bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) is the chronic lung disease that follows NICU care for respiratory distress in premature infants. Infants with severe BPD present persistent challenges and controversies in care, raising many questions and issues regarding optimal strategies for enhancing their long-term outcomes.

Our Mission

To serve as a catalyst for improving the life-long outcomes of babies who develop severe BPD by fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation in the identification and treatment of these highly vulnerable patients across all of our Centers through the sharing of data, the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives, as well as fostering research protocols to address the most pressing gaps in our knowledge.
